Who can report codes for the office? As a rule, you will encounter four options:

  • codes are shown by the nurse,
  • codes are reported by an external worker,
  • codes are indicated by the doctor himself,
  • codes are automatically reported by the software.

The first three options have several disadvantages. “It works here human factor. The moment we rely on a worker, we lose 100% of our money because they forget to report the codes.” describes MUDr. Sobotka. At the same time, the doctor pays the work for the person who reports the codes - this is a time-consuming activity. Therefore, according to MUDr. Saturdays The ideal solution for using the software.

The basis is properly configured software

For ease of reporting you correctly set up an outpatient system. As a result, you don't have to think about anything — you just need to work routinely in an outpatient system that automatically reports the codes for you.

Standard outpatient software should allow the creation of so-called phrases that are linked to one or even a combination of performance codes. Thanks to phrases, the doctor saves time not only by writing down repeated formulations, but also by writing codes. Most importantly, there is no forgetting factor.

Outpatient software allows code reporting even when running an external device, e.g. ECG. You just need to know about this functionality and ask the software vendor for its settings.

What kind of performances are worth your money?

In the last part of the webinar, MUDr. Sobotka devotes the classification of codes into different groups:

  • captained performances,
  • Compulsory performances,
  • and two groups of facultative performances.

Do not waste time with the codes that are included in the chapter. “Although we can report the capitalized performances to the insurance company, we will no longer receive any compensation for them. They are contained in the capitulation. We don't have to report these codes and let's not do it, it's unnecessary extra work,” advises MUDr. Sobotka.

“Then there are mandatory procedures that are available to all general practitioners, and which we show in addition to the recorded performances. With their help, we can earn money and improve the economic performance of the practice,” explains MUDr. Sobotka.

In the case facultative performance It is necessary to purchase additional equipment for the office. Nevertheless, this investment will pay off, and you will easily increase profit by doing so. Therefore, we highly recommend that they be contracted. Just watch out for second group of facultative functions F2which may be subject to additional rules on the part of the insurance company — for example, the completion of a vocational course.
