On Friday 5.3.2021 MUDr. Karolína Dobešová in Znojmo sent 409 SMS using Emma to her patients over 70 years old who are not registered in the central system. By the end of the weekend, she had 186 patients registered on her vaccination list using automatically processed responses that came from patients also by SMS. On Sunday, it accepted delivery of Astra Zeneca's first 100 vaccines. Today, Monday evening, March 8, 2021, using SMS messages from Emma, invited the first 50 patients from the vaccination list to be vaccinated on Thursday afternoon - Emmy automatically ordered them into time blocks according to the schedule of the office, alphabetically by last name so that the spouses could come together. On Wednesday morning everyone will receive another SMS with a reminder of the vaccination deadline on Thursday afternoon. Finally, the doctor printed her nurses a list of all the patients to be vaccinated, so that they could easily navigate according to it until they all arrived gradually.

M.D. Dobešová describes her experience as follows:”It's like a miracle. Everyone complains about how the organization of vaccinations is terribly administratively and logistically demanding. I'm lucky the Emmy came at the right time, and saved us hours and hours of time calling patients. Patients also praise us how we have a perfectly organized process thanks to Emma!”

Tim Young, co-founder of Emmy, comments, “There is almost no country in the world where more people are currently dying from COVID than here in the Czech Republic (per 100,000 inhabitants). I cannot come to terms with this fact, which is why we have added these features to Emma to promote vaccination in general practitioners. May Emmy help speed up vaccination and end the epidemic in our country as soon as possible!”

Update March 11, 2021: And how did it turn out in the end? Of the 50 invited 46 came with watch accuracy, 2 apologised because of transport difficulties - and only 2 did not apologise at all. M.D. Dobesova commented on the experience as follows: “It turned out great!! We enjoy the Emmys!!”
