How do nurses in ambulances look at their electronic colleague? Is it really a partner and a time saver for them? How difficult was it to learn to work with the Emmy?

Does Virtual Nurse Work?

At the conference of the Society of General Medicine, Ondřej Sobotka met with nurse Adéla Matysčáková, who has the opportunity to compare the functioning of Emma in different clinics. He did not hesitate to tell her about her experience — after all, it is the nurses who come into contact with this system most often.

Adele, will Emmy save you time?

For me, I must say that for sure, I have experienced the old way of ordering with the “pencil and paper” method, compared to that, the time savings with Emmy are huge.

In what specifically?

Thanks to the fact that I can sort my calendar in color, so that I can see at a glance what is in store for me without having to study it in detail. At the same time, I can make any note, depending on what else I need to solve the patient. And right away I can send him a reminder that comes to his phone as an SMS, so he has it right with him.

Can you say that if you didn't have a virtual nurse in your office, you'd spend a few hours there?

We used to spend a lot more time in the office. In addition, as a big plus, I also acknowledge that I can watch the Emmys anytime from home, on the weekend...

I almost don't want to hear that. I always tell everyone that users can check the system in Bali when they're on holiday, but I certainly don't wish it on them. Of course, it would be better if we closed the door of the office, so ideally not to work. Well, you'll appreciate this option as well.

I certainly do.

As creators of Emma, we also argue that they don't grind as many phones in a doctor's office that uses a virtual nurse. Is that right?

To us, in fact, almost none. It took a while for patients to get used to it, like the first six months, to really realize that we had the system. But once they tried it, they found that the positives outweighed. And they'd rather learn with the Emmys than call. It is more comfortable for them and today it is a completely normal thing for them. And I must say that even elderly patients can cope with Emmy, because it is simple and intuitive.

Colleagues often ask just how seniors manage the system?

They do it well, thanks in part to the fact that we have received materials from you with which they can penetrate the Emmy. And if they can't do it at first, the family can teach them, if we have time, we can help them as nurses and last but not least, we also have your technical support to guide them.

Would you like to say something to your fellow nurses?

Do not be afraid of the virtual nurse and give it a try. I have to say that working with the Emmy company was totally cool. And I don't regret that we contacted Dr. Sobotka.

Adela was one of the first sisters to work with Emmy; it was still at a time when the creators of the Emmy themselves were just tuning in and discovering the magic they could do.
